WHIMS is a national system that provides safety information about hazardous materials.

Who should take this course?
Every worker who works with, or in proximity to, a hazardous product in the workplace must have up-to-date WHMIS training. This course is 100% compliant with current WHMIS legislation and meets the employer’s responsibility to provide general WHMIS training.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the role WHMIS plays in protecting the health and safety of workers

  • Identify the WHMIS responsibilities of suppliers, employers, and workers

  • Understand how hazardous materials are classified

  • Know the workplace requirements related to the use of supplier labels and workplace labels, and how to locate and interpret the information found on these labels


Online Delivery

The course consists of different sections that the participant must complete. On average, participants finish the course in less than 2 hours.

Throughout the course, each participant must challenge and successfully complete tests before continuing to the next section. You have unlimited attempts at each test.


Certification

  • Upon successful completion of the course, participants can download a WHMIS 2015 Certificate of Completion.
